How much do you know about processing centers?

How much do you know about processing centers?

The processing center integrates oil, gas, electricity and CNC. It can fix all kinds of complex parts such as discs, plates, housings, chambers, molds and other working parts at the same time, and can carry out drilling, milling, drilling, reaming, sizing, etc. It can process various processes such as hard pin, so it is an ideal equipment for high precision machining.

How to set up a tool in the machining center?

Numerical control programs are the basis for the automatic operation of CNC machines. They contain information about coordinates, movement parameters, processing trajectories, cutting parameters and auxiliary operations. Programming can be done manually or using modern technologies such as automatic programming (APT) or CAD/CAM systems, which greatly simplify the process of creating complex control programs.

Return to zero (return to the starting point of the machine)

Before setting the tool, it is necessary to perform a zero return operation (returning to the machine home point) to clear the coordinate data of the last operation. Note that the X, Y and Z axes should return to zero.

Spindle rotation forward

In MDI mode, enter a command code to make the spindle rotate forward and maintain a medium rotation speed. Then switch to the "Steering wheel" mode, and control the movement of the machine by switching the adjustment speed.

Tool setting in X direction

封面

Use the tool to gently touch the right side of the workpiece to clear the relative coordinates of the machine; lift the tool in the Z direction, then move the tool to the left of the workpiece, and lower the tool and workpiece down the Z direction to the same level as before. Gently touch, lift the tool, record the X value of the relative machine coordinates, move the tool half of the relative X coordinates, record the X value of the absolute machine coordinates, and press (ENTER) to enter into the coordinate system.

Tool setting in Y direction

Use the tool to gently touch the front of the workpiece to clear the relative coordinates of the machine; lift the tool in the Z direction, move the tool to the back of the workpiece, and lower the tool and workpiece down the Z direction to the same level as before. Gently touch, lift the tool, record the Y value of the relative machine coordinates, move the tool half of the relative Y coordinates, record the Y value of the absolute machine coordinates, and press (ENTER) to enter into the coordinate system.

Tool setting in Z direction

Move the tool to the surface of the workpiece where the zero point should be aligned in the Z direction. Slowly move the tool until it gently touches the top surface of the workpiece. Record the value in the Z direction in the machine coordinate system at this moment, and press (ENTER) to enter into the coordinate system.

Spindle stop

First, stop the spindle, move the spindle to a suitable position, and call the machining program to prepare for formal machining.
